What You Agree To
By using our services, you’re saying that you’ve read, understood, and agree to follow these terms:
-
You are responsible for checking that your application is complete and correct. Whatever you submit will be entered directly into the OBR, Corporations Canada or the appropriate Provincial or Territorial portal.
-
Draft copies may not be available. Some types of registrations can't be previewed before they are officially filed.
-
Same-day processing is not guaranteed. We do our best, but delays can happen because of system traffic, submission times, or government portal limitations.
-
Confirmation emails might be delayed. Sometimes you won’t get the official confirmation from the OBR until the next business day.
-
Where your confirmation is sent. OBR will email the confirmation to the email address listed in your application. LAB will also send a copy to the contact(s) listed in your order.
Important: LAB is not a law firm and cannot give legal advice. If you have legal questions, please talk to a lawyer.
The information and services on our website are meant to help people who want to handle business tasks on their own. Everything we share is for general guidance only and shouldn’t be taken as legal advice. If you need legal help, we recommend talking to a qualified lawyer. Using our website doesn’t create any legal or professional relationship between you and us.
Fees and Refunds
-
Once you place an order, fees are non-refundable. If your order hasn't been processed yet, LAB may offer a partial refund. A minimum $25.00 service charge will always apply.
-
The Ontario Business Registry, Corporations Canada and all Provincial and Territorial portals do not issue refunds once your filing is submitted.
-
If you cancel your order before LAB sends the government fee, you can get a refund for that government fee.
Virtual Business Addresses: A Quick Heads-Up
Please be aware that using a virtual address may come with limitations or restrictions depending on your industry, licensing requirements, or the terms of your contracts. Before using a virtual address as your business address, it’s your responsibility to review any agreements, supplier contracts, banking requirements, or regulatory obligations to confirm that a virtual address is acceptable. Launch a Business Inc. is not responsible for any issues that arise from the use of a virtual address that does not meet the requirements of your contracts or governing bodies.
Our Commitment and Limits
Launch a Business Inc. (LAB) does not make any promises or guarantees—spoken or written—other than what is clearly stated here. We are not responsible for any damages of any kind, including direct, indirect, special, incidental, or unexpected issues that may result from your use of our services, reports, or data. This includes any errors or missing information from NUANS name searches, NUANS reports, business registrations, incorporations, or any other service we provide.
LAB is also not responsible or liable for any actions, decisions, operations, conduct, or business activities carried out by any client, corporation, or third party we work with or assist, whether before, during, or after the completion of our services.
If we make a mistake or do not meet our contract terms, our total responsibility is limited to the amount you paid us for that specific service—nothing more. By using our services, you agree to protect and indemnify LAB from any claims, losses, or damages—including those brought by third parties—that may arise from your use of our services, data, reports, or filings, even if the issue involves an error on our part.
You understand that LAB collects certain information from third-party databases to deliver the services you request. We are not responsible for any errors, delays, inaccuracies, or missing details originating from those third-party sources under any circumstances.
If you believe there was a mistake or failure on our part, you must notify us within 30 days of receiving the service. If we agree that a valid issue occurred, our maximum responsibility will still only be the amount you paid us for that specific service.
Ending a Business Relationship
At Launch a Business Inc. (LAB), we aim to build strong, respectful relationships with all our clients. However, there may be rare situations where we decide to end a business relationship. If this happens, we’ll explain why and do our best to handle things professionally and clearly.
Some reasons we might need to end our working relationship include:
-
Abusive or threatening behaviour: We expect all clients to treat our team with respect. We won’t tolerate rude, abusive, harassing, or threatening language or actions—whether written or spoken.
-
Breaking our terms: Our terms and conditions explain how our services should be used. If someone repeatedly ignores these rules, we may have to stop working with them.
-
Fraud or illegal activity: If a client uses our services for anything dishonest or illegal, we’ll end the relationship right away.
-
Unpaid invoices: If fees aren’t paid and we’ve made reasonable efforts to resolve it, we may have to close the account.
-
Disruptive behaviour: Actions that interfere with our ability to help other clients or run our business smoothly may also lead to the end of services.
What to Expect
If there’s a problem, we’ll always try to talk with the client first to understand the situation and find a solution. Ending a relationship is a last resort, and we’ll make sure you know what’s going on.
Your Privacy Matters to Us
At Launch a Business Inc. (LAB), protecting your personal information is a top priority. We never sell your details to anyone—ever.
We only share your information with trusted partners who help us complete your order. This might include government offices, agencies, or service providers that support new and growing businesses.
We’ll only talk about your order with you—the person who placed it—and use the email you provided. If someone else contacts us about your order, we won’t share any information unless you’ve given us written permission.
In some cases, we may share your business name, your name, and your email address (as listed on your order) with trusted partners if it’s needed to provide the service you’ve requested. By using our services, you agree to this.
Third-party Payment Providers
We use Stripe and QuickBooks to process payments and, in some cases, create customer profiles. These profiles may include your name, email, phone number, and purchase history to help manage receipts, refunds, and communication preferences.
-
These profiles are hosted and managed entirely by Stripe or QuickBooks. They are subject to their respective Stripe Privacy Policy and QuickBooks Privacy Policy.
-
LAB only accesses your profile information as needed to provide support, manage orders, verify payments, or improve your experience.
-
We do not store full payment information on our servers.
-
To update, correct, or delete your profile data, contact the respective provider directly.
For full details, please check out our [Privacy Policy].
